Winter has passed and the Night King is dead, but Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey appeared to be in a wistful mood as she took to Instagram on Tuesday.
The actress, best known for her role as scheming Cersei Lannister, treated followers to a series of throwbacks from her recent creative collaboration with former co-star Maisie Williams.
Headey, 47, added another string to her bow in 2020 by directing a promotional video for French DJ Madeon’s single Miracle, in which Williams, 23, took a starring role.

The video – featuring Williams as she becomes embroiled in a dreamlike altercation with another person before facing up to its subsequent aftermath – was their first project together since Game Of Thrones ended its eight-year run in 2019.
Reflecting on the messy shoot, Headey shared a handful of behind-the-scenes snaps as her former co-star – known to millions as Arya Stark – struck a series of poses while covered in blue and red powder.
Praising Williams in an accompanying caption, she wrote: ‘When we shot @madeon.. What a f**king trooper @maisiewilliams.’

The posts come after Headey was confirmed for a new role in forthcoming science fiction show Beacon 23, a joint production between Spectrum Originals and AMC Networks.
The actress will play Aster, a woman who mysteriously finds her way to a lonely beacon keeper on his lighthouse in the darkest recesses of space.
Headey will also serve as an executive producer through her company Peephole Productions, as part of a first-look deal with Boat Rocker Studios.

‘Lena Headey was a wonderful, versatile actress before she gave one of the defining performances in television history,’ creator Zak Penn said, referring to Headey’s portrayal of Cersei Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
‘So, as they say, “no pressure.” I’m thankful to all the people making this show possible, they just keep delivering beyond my expectations.’
Katherine Pope, Head of Spectrum Originals, added: ‘We had exactly one person in mind when thinking about who could play Aster – who could bring the strength, the vulnerability and the brilliance to Zak’s complex character? No one but Lena Headey.
‘We couldn’t be more excited to go on this thrill ride with Lena and Zak leading the way,’
