Delta Goodrem reveals she is still chasing her Hollywood dreams

She became a household name when she joined the cast of Neighbours in 2002.

And while she later prioritised her music career, Delta Goodrem has now revealed she hasn’t given up her Hollywood dreams.

‘I’ve been so thankful acting is a part of what I do,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

The Innocent Eyes singer, 36, added: ‘From when I was seven years old in A Country Practice to my days on Neighbours and all of the different shows through the years, it’s definitely a part of what I do.’

‘I think I’m always incredibly open to finding those awesome [roles], and the right stories to be a part of, for sure,’ she added.

It comes after Delta signed with top acting agent Mark Morrissey in January.

Mr Morrissey, who also represents Chris and Liam Hemsworth, is supporting Delta as she seeks out acting roles in Australia.

While she remained coy about her upcoming roles, the Born to Try hitmaker teased: ‘There’s some fun projects to share with everyone soon.’

Delta starred in the Olivia Newton-John biopic Hopelessly Devoted to You in 2018, which aired on Seven in Australia and on the Lifetime Movie Network in the U.S.

She also briefly appeared in Fox soap opera North Shore, alongside Jason Momoa.

Back in 2015, Delta returned for Neighbours’ 30th anniversary with a brief cameo as a chambermaid.

On the subject of returning to acting, Delta said her past experience had reawakened ‘that spark’ within.

‘Music is my soul but acting is definitely in my blood. Being a part of that reminded me that the passion is there,’ she said.
